It's 6 a.m. in Monroe, Georgia on a cold February morning and I've been procrastinating on writing my introductory blog post for, well...a really long time. My passions are getting my hands dirty, transforming your home, shopping for the perfect home accents, and chasing my sweet babies all over the yard. Not typing, not proofing, and certainly not putting my sub-par grammar out there for everyone to read. Eeek! But procrastinate no more. Here it is. Here I am.
The plan is to blog twice weekly on home staging techniques and DIY projects that will increase your home's value and appeal or maybe just increase your happiness with your home. After living like gypsies for our entire marriage, my husband and I have become slightly addicted to fixing up less desirable properties and making them worthy of calling "home". We feel that we have learned a lot about renovating, design, and staging. In turn, we haven't really felt "home" in years. This year, 2015, we plan to put down deep roots. If the good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise (y'all are from the South, right?) we will be applying for a building permit this week. This will be our most challenging DIY project yet, and I plan to document it here. It will be our forever home, and our Front Porch looks out at the field where we were married. By the back porch is an old oak tree that I used to gaze at from my childhood bedroom window, where I married my best friend, and where we plan to spend the rest of our lives resting in it's shade.
So I hope that you will follow along and I look forward to hearing from you! Please sign up for my e-mail list below so that I can send a weekly update and other exciting goodies from the blog straight to your inbox.
