Kirkland's for the Win
I have been working with a local client for the past few months to edit, organize, and update her home. She has been in her home for about ten years and felt that it was time to do an overhaul on the decor. So many of us live in a home that isn't expressing our personality because we were in a different place in life when we decorated (or in some cases, never decorated!) the home.
This project has been a slow, but substantial transformation and I'm loving the changes that she has made. One in particular, is this colorful gallery wall inspired by a few pieces of art from Kirkland's. It is bright, cheerful, and playful, much like my client's personality and I feel like it truly reflects her style into the atmosphere of her home.
We both agreed that the wall color was too warm and that the cabinet was too large. Don't worry, we kept it and moved it to a more size appropriate place! This area is visible from the dining and living areas, so having an area that would flow seamlessly was key, but we wanted to punch it up a bit. The client installed wainscoting and painted the walls Stone Lion by Sherwin Williams and we arranged a collection of new and old frames and art for this fun, fresh look.
When the remainder of our projects are complete, I'll be posting before and after photos and you won't want to miss those (hint: Buffalo Check!!). I hope you're enjoying this weather and lightening up your home for Spring!
Thanks for following along!
